HOLYYJHIZAJ I THINK I MADE IT???
ho man why do I finish contest entires last minute T_T
So yeah I kinda rushed my butt to meet the deadline D: It didn't come out exactly how I wanted it, BUT IT SHALL SUFFICE.
Why I drew her (it's not specified if Omocha is a girl or boy but I drew her a female, so the rest will be written as if she was a girl. I don't mean to be ignorant or offending in any way! ;o; ) this way ::
-well first I thought of a hairstyle. I thought, like many artists and thinkers, she'd tie her hair or have it in an updo so that it doesn't get in the way of work! So yes I drew a ponytail -w-
- Reddish brownish hair color because while it does seem like omocha has a liking to red tones, I wanted a touch of some possible realistic features. that's why it's not totally vibrant red.
- Cat-ear hat/scarf because ...lol idk it just seemed relevant and fitting when sketching her. It's kind of like a hooded hat, and that's because she seems like a mystery. Omocha-san doesn't define her gender here and it's said she is bisexual, so the the hat serves to keep her identity in a shadow, like an enigma.
- I extract these opinions and imaginiations purely from observing her drawing style (which is a bad habit D: I drew Omo as a girl because that's what I received by observing her style). Anyway, because she's so good and with clothes and detailing, (folds, lace, shading etc etc) I decided to put her in a more intricate outfit than the norm.
-The coat is also a little based off a military/soldier jacket because omocha seems strong and independent to me. I saw that she was also single so it made me admire how she didn't need anyone specific to lean or depend on.
-Tablet pen in her left hand because she draws on a tablet, of course p:
-The concept behind the glowing thingies is ambiguous.
I've looked through her gallery and although there are a few traditional works, digital art seems to be a big part of Omo's life. If I'm not mistaken, it's part of her job too! So yeah, the blue glowy things represent the digital themes of her work. Another way to look at it is pieces of inspiration. She has many fans and admirers (such as myself ^-^) that get inspired from her work,,, so yeah; that explains the streams and flow of the lights.
- Calm, reserved pose rather than a super dynamic and actiony one because I get a cool vibes from Omo...like she wouldn't do anything rash. I remember she handled a troubling situation fairly well.
That is how I imagine her Omocha ~ Hope that all makes sense.
Aaaand that's my entry!
I shall go to bed now -w-
